Matt Tavare’s career in electrical work began in the Bay Area, where he grew up working in his father’s landscaping business. This early exposure to hard work and craftsmanship laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Upon graduating from high school, Matt enlisted in the Air Force, marking the start of his professional journey in the electrical field.
Military Service and Advanced Training
During his time in the Air Force, Matt was entrusted with the maintenance of a multi-million-dollar state-of-the-art communication system, designed as a contingency for nuclear emergencies. His role extended to maintaining critical radio communication systems used for close air support during his deployment to Afghanistan. These responsibilities honed Matt’s meticulous attention to detail and adherence to rigorous procedures, skills that continue to define his approach to electrical work.
Transition to Civilian Life
After honorably completing his military service, Matt returned to the Bay Area and embarked on a career as a commercial electrician. He worked on diverse projects, including multifamily condominiums and large retail establishments. It was during this period that Matt’s passion for electrical work solidified, driving him to excel in his craft.
Expanding Expertise
During the economic downturn of 2008-2009, Matt faced periodic layoffs but remained determined to advance his career. He joined a local utility company, where he worked with high-voltage systems.
